History of Shah Jahan Park : he Shah Jahan Park in Agra was laid out during the rule of Mughal Empire. This park is named after the very powerful and famous emperor of Mughal period called Shah Jahan. It was during his rule that magnificent and splendid architectures were created among which the majestic Taj Mahal, built in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, warrant a special mention. He was deposed from the throne by his son Aurangzeb in 1658 and detained in the Agra fort.
